Homesure wShield Bitu Champ is a single-component, cold-applied water-based bitumen protective coating for damp-proofing, maintenance, refurbishment and surface protection. It cures to form a seamless protective film with enhanced flexibility and accommodates normal substrate movement under typical service conditions.

Uses:
- Maintenance and refurbishment, damp-proofing and moisture-resistant protective applications on concrete, masonry, metal, wood and sound asphalt- or bitumen-based roofing felt surfaces
- Protective coating for foundations and substructures in non-structural applications
- External walls and exposed concrete surfaces where a more flexible coating is required

- Apperance: Smooth, thick black paste
- Specific gravity (20±2°C): 0.98 ± 0.10
- Viscosity (20±2°C): 50,000 – 70,000 cP
- Solid content: 55 ± 5%
- Tensile strength (indicative): 0.80 ± 0.20 MPa
- Elongation at break (indicative): > 1300%
- Water resistance (indicative): Resistant to water ingress under normal service conditions
- Crack accomodation (indicative): Up to approx. 10 mm under controlled laboratory conditions
- VOC content: Low VOC
- Coverage: approx. 0.8–1.1 m²/kg for a two-coat application
- Surface dry: approx. 30–40 minutes
- Recoat interval: 8–10 hours under normal conditions
- Tack-free time: ≤ 12 hours
- Water exposure: Protect from water until adequately cured (typically 48 hours under normal conditions)
- Full cure: Typically, within 48 hours depending on site conditions
- Packaging: 5 kg & 20 kg re-sealable buckets

Health, Safety & Handling
- Follow safe manual handling practices
- Wear suitable PPE, including gloves and eye protection
- Avoid contact with skin and eyes
- Ensure adequate ventilation during application and drying
- Do not apply to frozen, wet or damp substrates
- Do not apply during rain, where condensation is expected, or when temperatures are below 5°C
- Protect freshly applied coating from water exposure until adequately cured
- Keep out of reach of children
- Dispose of contents and container in accordance with local regulations

Shelf Life & Storage
- Shelf life: 18 months from date of manufacture when stored correctly
- Store in original unopened containers in a cool, dry & well-ventilated place
- Recommended storage temperature: +5°C to +35°C
- Protect from frost, excessive heat and direct sunlight
- Keep containers tightly closed when not in use
- Reseal opened containers promptly after use
